Shana Tova

Shalom,

Kitah Hey has been learning about the ten days of teshuvah (repentence) between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. We discussed the importance of apologizing for our wrong doings and how we can make things right again. Through teacher given scenarios, as well as paper bag dramatics where the students could create their own scenarios, the students practised the stages of a good apology:

  1. Showing you really feel bad about what happened.
  2. Showing you understand how the other person feels.
  3. Understanding that the apology doesn’t automatically make the “hurt” go away.
  4. Showing that you are serious about not making the same mistake again.
